This is the best ever performed studio recording of Norma. Callas is still impeccable even though having passed her prime. Corelli is in top form as one might expect.

BTW, do you have Corelli's "Il Pagliacci"? Only Giuseppe di Stefano and Jussi Bjoerling can come close.

Franco Corelli was the most handsome Italian tenor we have ever known. He looked cool when driving a Ferrari. A bit taller than 1.85m, he weighed no more than 85kg while Luciano Pavarotti was 1.85m tall but weighed 140kg.
Corelli was a powerhouse in his prime, akin to a power amplifier rated at 200W RMS into 8 ohms, but could deliver 5000W peak output power before clipping!

聽EMI 半世紀前錄音的這些歌劇,現埸感/立體感驚人,
只要器材夠班,人聲可以"真嘅一樣".........

假如您已擁有EMI 錄製 Callas與 di Stefano 合演，de Sabata 指揮的 Tosca 及 de los Angeles 與 Bjoerling 合演，Beecham 指揮的 La Boheme 單聲道CD，只要把一個聲道的喇叭線極性反接成錯相 (out-of-phase)，即可達到幾近立體聲的效果，同時低音對消現象只屬輕微。
