得2:1 拿俄米的丈夫以利米勒的親族中，有壹個人名叫波阿斯，是個大財主。
And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband's, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.
得2:2 摩押女子路得對拿俄米說：“容我往田間去，我蒙誰的恩，就在誰的身後拾取麥穗。”拿俄米說：“女兒啊，妳只管去。”
And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.
得2:3 路得就去了，來到田間，在收割的人身後拾取麥穗。她恰巧到了以利米勒本族的人波阿斯那塊田裏。
And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.
得2:4 波阿斯正從伯利恒來，對收割的人說：“願耶和華與妳們同在！”他們回答說：“願耶和華賜福與妳！”
And, behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said unto the reapers, The LORD be with you. And they answered him, The LORD bless thee.
得2:5 波阿斯問監管收割的仆人說：“那是誰家的女子？”
Then said Boaz unto his servant that was set over the reapers, Whose damsel is this?
得2:6 監管收割的仆人回答說：“是那摩押女子，跟隨拿俄米從摩押地回來的。
And the servant that was set over the reapers answered and said, It is the Moabitish damsel that came back with Naomi out of the country of Moab: 得2:7 她說：‘請妳容我跟著收割的人拾取打捆剩下的麥穗。’她從早晨直到如今，除了在屋子裏坐壹會兒，常在這裏。”
And she said, I pray you, let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves: so she came, and hath continued even from the morning until now, that she tarried a little in the house.
得2:8 波阿斯對路得說：“女兒啊，聽我說，不要往別人田裏拾取麥穗，也不要離開這裏，要常與我使女們在壹處。
Then said Boaz unto Ruth, Hearest thou not, my daughter? Go not to glean in another field, neither go from hence, but abide here fast by my maidens:
得2:9 我的仆人在哪塊田收割，妳就跟著他們去。我已經吩咐仆人不可欺負妳。妳若渴了，就可以到器皿那裏喝仆人打來的水。”
Let thine eyes be on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of that which the young men have drawn.
得2:10 路得就俯伏在地叩拜，對他說：“我既是外邦人，怎麽蒙妳的恩，這樣顧恤我呢？”
Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground, and said unto him, Why have I found grace in thine eyes, that thou shouldest take knowledge of me, seeing I am a stranger?
得2:11 波阿斯回答說：“自從妳丈夫死後，凡妳向婆婆所行的，並妳離開父母和本地，到素不認識的民中，這些事人全都告訴我了。
And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shewed me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother in law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore.
得2:12 願耶和華照妳所行的賞賜妳。妳來投靠耶和華以色列　神的翅膀下，願妳滿得他的賞賜。”
The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.
得2:13 路得說：“我主啊，願在妳眼前蒙恩！我雖然不及妳的壹個使女，妳還用慈愛的話安慰我的心。”
Then she said, Let me find favour in thy sight, my lord; for that thou hast comforted me, and for that thou hast spoken friendly unto thine handmaid, though I be not like unto one of thine handmaidens.
得2:14 到了吃飯的時候，波阿斯對路得說：“妳到這裏來吃餅，將餅蘸在醋裏。”路得就在收割的人旁邊坐下，他們把烘了的穗子遞給她，她吃飽了，還有余剩的。
And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched corn, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.
得2:15 她起來又拾取麥穗，波阿斯吩咐仆人說：“她就是在捆中拾取麥穗，也可以容她，不可羞辱她。
And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not:
得2:16 並要從捆裏抽出些來，留在地下任她拾取，不可叱嚇她。”
And let fall also some of the handfuls of purpose for her, and leave them, that she may glean them, and rebuke her not.
得2:17 這樣，路得在田間拾取麥穗，直到晚上，將所拾取的打了，約有壹伊法大麥。
So she gleaned in the field until even, and beat out that she had gleaned: and it was about an ephah of barley.
得2:18 她就把所拾取的帶進城去給婆婆看，又把她吃飽了所剩的給了婆婆。
And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought forth, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed.
得2:19 婆婆問她說：“妳今日在哪裏拾取麥穗，在哪裏做工呢？願那顧恤妳的得福。”路得就告訴婆婆說：“我今日在壹個名叫波阿斯的人那裏做工。” And her mother in law said unto her, Where hast thou gleaned to day? and where wroughtest thou? blessed be he that did take knowledge of thee. And she shewed her mother in law with whom she had wrought, and said, The man's name with whom I wrought to day is Boaz.
得2:20 拿俄米對兒婦說：“願那人蒙耶和華賜福，因爲他不斷地恩待活人死人。”拿俄米又說：“那是我們本族的人，是壹個至近的親屬。”
And Naomi said unto her daughter in law, Blessed be he of the LORD, who hath not left off his kindness to the living and to the dead. And Naomi said unto her, The man is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen.
得2:21 摩押女子路得說：“他對我說：‘妳要緊隨我的仆人拾取麥穗，直等他們收完了我的莊稼。’”
And Ruth the Moabitess said, He said unto me also, Thou shalt keep fast by my young men, until they have ended all my harvest.
得2:22 拿俄米對兒婦路得說：“女兒啊，妳跟著他的使女出去，不叫人遇見妳在別人田間，這才爲好。”
And Naomi said unto Ruth her daughter in law, It is good, my daughter, that thou go out with his maidens, that they meet thee not in any other field. 得2:23 于是，路得與波阿斯的使女常在壹處拾取麥穗，直到收完了大麥和小麥。路得仍與婆婆同住。
So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her mother in law.
