The Aurender WAVE will be available in Nov 2014, much sooner than the Geek Wave.
The ext design & built seem better too.

Geek's is more like a small footprint pocket player with external DAC capability for certain high-end models. Aurender's is more like a portable external DAC with portable player capability when you add an external drive via its SATA connection.

What I like most in Geek's is its WIFI streaming capability so that I can link the player to my home music server and carry it around at home.

Aurender's will face much challenge in this crowded niche of portable desktop DAC-headphone amp combo.
