Yea....very good.

Initially no improvement but even worse after plug in the LPS. But after breaking in for more than one hundred hours, the improvement is significant. No complaint and regard it as a must-have item in streaming system.

之前都有好多C1用家分享過佢地加左Ethernet board的效果和進步嘅地方，我嘅感覺和經驗都同佢相近，定位準、分析力高、還原質素好、有Analogue feel、極細緻、高密度，好處應有盡有，而每一參數都很高分，今次只係多一份小弟嘅見證罷了。以前覺得歌手唱結他低泣時分兩啖的一些地方原來係一啖氣唱曬，中間一些好微弱嘅運氣都可清晰地交代出來，可以更加欣賞歌手嘅唱功演繹。



但係想分享嘅一件事情就係為左鋼琴重播喱一個環節想對C1多一點挑戰，早兩星期嘅平日晚上去左銅鑼灣一間對於小弟來講非常昂貴嘅意大利餐廳食晚飯，揀左鄰近現場鋼琴伴奏的一張枱，一路食澳洲和牛扒一邊欣賞鋼琴師整晚上的伴奏，細聽比較之下發覺C1的鋼琴還原可與現場演奏不相伯仲，所相差的一丁點令小第念念不忘，馬上約代理試聽埋夾A1又如何。



     CH真係令我趨之若鶩。

真的很開心
就是那份發乎演奏者向聆聽者表達的一種感覺、令聆賞的人多一份盪氣迴腸的共鳴的堂音。其實C1係有，只是相比現場在這方面比較薄弱。

Installed Streaming card to my C1. I ripped some SACD into DSD files with PS3 and put them into a new fan-less QNAP NAS with SSD. After AB test I found that the D1+C1 combo win over DSD streaming with higher density, quieter background and wider soundstage. It may not be a fair comparison as I use CH-Link from D1 to C1 but only ordinary computer LAN cables. Also do not have LPS for the NAS and router.   Any good suggestion of LAN cables? Would also like to try using LPS for NAS and router. Any c-hing can give me the contacts of Mr. Lau?

I cannot afford D1 and I have no chance to compare. However, I also feel that DSD files from PS3 are not very appealing , compared to corresponding PCM files. I tried both USB/aurender and Streaming/NAS playback methods. I suspect a deficiency in either SACD ripping or DSD files handling. It is reasonable to expect D1 via CH link is the best for SACD playback with genuine DSD handling. To me, if I have D1 I would play SACD directly via D1, using C1 as DAC. Anyway, the Performance of PCM playback by C1 is outstanding and it can handle other high res files including DSD128 via streaming. Thus, if one has many SACDs, purchasing D1 with C1 would become one of the best digital playback systems in the world!

相距上次去意大利餐廳有現場鋼琴伴奏食和牛牛扒已經接近3個月了，還記得3個月前的周末急不及待地約定代理時間試聽A1 mono block in bridged mode的心情，尋找幻想中的悅耳音質的經過。

試聽一對A1後，效果當然不負所托，十分之正面，但...結果...
Bank account多左條相當負面的transaction!

Hi Ching,
I used to use C1 as the pre amp and directly connect it to my Orpheus Heritage power amp. When I had the opportunity to add L1 pre amp between C1 and Heritage power amp and set C1 to only D/A converter, I could feel the difference was hell and heaven. L1 has a much better dynamic and density than C1 as a pre amp. So I ordered L1 and am still waiting for it because no stock.
As you said. C1 is a disappointing pre amp but works well with M1 or A1 power amp. So I'm considering changing my order for L1 to M1 and sell my Heritage power amp. Do you think this is a good option? Is C1+M1 better than C1+L1+Heritage?

Hi Nickif hing,
You mean C1 streaming card is not needed and you can use Tidal to play the files stored in NAS?
