Eva Cassidy 最值得保存嘅 album，Live at Blues Alley，隻碟係 3 January 1996 （第二日）嘅 live 錄音，Eva 生前，係冇乜人認識佢，亦冇唱片公司，所以隻 album 係 Eva 自己出錢製作同靠朋友幫忙。Live at Blues Alley 係 Eva 最後一張 album，亦係唯一一張 live & solo album。
“We'd ordered a lot of a thousand CDs,” says Biondo. “I remember driving with her to Virginia to go pick them up from the CD plant. She thought we bought too many. So the whole ride she was saying she knows she'll have boxes and boxes of them lying around forever, really concerned that for the rest of her life she'd be seeing these things in her basement. I was telling her don't worry about that, that it would be fine. But, I thought it would be a great thing to sell the 1,000 we had.”’
LIVE AT BLUES ALLEY was released to the public on May 20, 1996, at Blues Alley. The event was a big success. Eva's friend Celia Murphy told me, “After the gig, people crowded around her to purchase her CDs, and she was a bit overwhelmed. We had to get the people a bit more organized, and put Eva at a little table.”
Eva Cassidy died on November 2, 1996, age 33, in her family's home in Maryland. In her lifetime, Eva was virtually unknown outside of her native Washington DC.
