其實我最新想買部靚D既BD PLAYER, 之後同軸輸出去部靚小小既DAC, 再入我部PRE-AMP睇演唱會.

順便可以玩 ...

餅主所謂「靚小小」既DAC 其實係指 Medus/dCS/MSB 之類！

DSD將來能否取代CD，商業因數太多，不願致評。

我是井底之蛙，這麼多年都無聽過一首CAS或FAS能令我著迷。

反而黑膠就一聽中毒，魅力無可匹敵，希望發燒友多作比較。

First of all, I like vinyl as well. Just did not have time to invest on vinyl.

Is it a concern on the digital record quality or the CAS/FAS hifi system quality?  Or both?  

I think there are quite a few good records but many CAS/FAS hifi systems are not good enough to fully benefit from the high resolution digital record yet.  Just my personal opinion.

Esoteric's coming flagships D1 monoblock DAC is 48/384-capable, DSD56/128-capable.

I am quite new to CAS. Recently I acquired a Lumin network player which is surprising good, especially with DSD. I still like my analogue source better but now find myself quite kin on DSF/DIFF files. Thanks for the useful links.

That will become : two ESS9018 in parallel for each channel!!!


But I don't have a transport with two identical digital outputs ar.

if nativeDSD website finally launched, please let me know!  

I see all labels joined on this webstore signed an agreement to use NATIVE DSD,  either recorded in DSD and NEVER convert to PCM for mix/mastering,  OR THEY can only use their old Analog Tape and convert to DSD128 or DSD64 ONLY.  

As we heard the OPUS3 native DSD (analog tape to DSD without PCM processing)  with HIGH Density like vinyl.  I believe nativeDSD.com is the place I will visit often in future.  

Many Beetles (or ALL records in 60/70s)  old records are analog tape in master,  if they convert to DSD128x in future,  I will jump in and buy immediately.

其實DSD聲音好唔好，就真系見仁見智（如黑膠vs CD）。但可以考慮下述資料：

1.        DSD聲音比較柔；
2.        DSD數碼noise較大，這些noise就很可能是令到DSD聲音柔的原因；
3.        DSD的高音解像度低過CD（16/44 PCM）;
4.        錄音室用的一般都是PCM；

但現在很多廠都想推DSD，因為在一潭死水的Hi-End業內，DSD系一個好好的”數字遊戲”, DSD的marketing容易做。

就好像以前CD 勝黑膠； 18 bit DAC勝16bit， 20bit又勝18bit； SACD勝CD，石機勝膽機等等，好多都系marketing的遊戲。

我黑膠同CAS都有玩, DSD係似黑膠既聲. PCM分析力係好過DSD, 但係DSD比PCM立體好多, PCM比較平面.

1. & 4. 小弟的意見和你一樣。

2. & 3. 小弟的觀點和你的有點不同：
DSD 的 高音解像度 和 noise 不會劣於 CD(16/44 PCM)。
DSD64 的信息量大約等如 PCM16/176.4；DSD128 則高於 PCM 16/192。  (在DoP protocol，有8 bits是用作header來提示DAC這是DSD而不是PCM)

市面上所發售的 DSD files 有很多是從舊有的60/70年代analog錄音母帶轉成的 (如 Opus3)，所以反映了這些錄音的本質而已。

2L 的 基本錄音是 PCM DXD，其他的formats是從母帶 downsample/轉化而成。 大家可聽聽比較一下，是幾有趣的。
