Per reply from AVS forum to my post, someone suggested you have to check if the mic was a "selectable" device under audio part, someone suggested using "Bootcamp" and someone using Parellels and Win7 without a glitch. You can check it out yourself. I am afraid this is all I can help this time given the fact that I have no priir experience in Mac environment, but of course will keep you posted if new ideas poped in/found.
So far, the mic was not detectable in using Parellels to run Win 7 environment. Last night, I have uninstalled the Parellels and try to use 'Bootcamp' to divide the harddisk into Mac & Win 7. Finally, it has also encountered other problem.
After bootcamp process to divide into Mac & Win 7, the mac mini will reboot automatically. Afterward, there is a black screen to show under abnormal status. Thus, I will bring my Mac mini to IFC to check in coming Saturday. Check with Apple support - Bootcamp should NOT be better to support Win XP due to driver issues.
Really feel sorry to hear that, computer things can be weird and sometimes could not be explained. I recall spending hours in setting up a wireless network/router with my relatives which should be a ten minutes job. It just could not get a proper ip, only 169.xxx... Anyway wish you could reslove your problems after IFC visit and I think using Win XP with compatibile software in Mac might have advantage, just my gut feeling.
