As per avsform ,  many user report that  they have serious banding problem with 4K 60fps HDR . Although its HDMI bandwidth reach 13.5. but when it receive 4K 60 HDR ,(10bit 4:2:0 , 60fps) , its internal will downgrade to 8bit . it casue a serious banding

Only VW760ES and upper models reach 18 Gbps HDMI Bandwidth or
may be the processor not good enough to handle such data
Should I would suggest avoid to set 4:4:4 color output from the player

Both Sony vpl-vw260es and vpl-vw360es has 13.5G bandwidth on its HDMI. according to AVSforum, it can accept 4k 60p 4:2:0 10 bit signal. But it seem that sony projector will convert 10bit 4k 60p signal to 8 bit, it may be its limitation of the its processor. and it also may be the main reason why it will have banding issue during show 4k 60/50 p with 10 bit



someone (in avsforum) said that they had discuss with sony , sony replied that it is limitation of the hardware, so it may not be able to solve by firmware upgrade in future .

Actually, 260es and 360es will not have problem with UHD bluray or any 4K video in 24p format. But it has a limitation to work with video steaming such as Netflix or apple 4K TV  and game console (PS4 pro and xbox x) in 4K 60p HDR game

I believe the bandwidth of the UHD video steaming should be lower than UHD bluray lot.

It is not the bandwidth problem, 260es/360es already have 13.5G bandwidth on their HDMI, they already can accept 10bit 4K 50/60p HDR (4:2:0)  signal. the main limitation is they will downgrade 10 bit signal to 8 bit in case of  4K 50/60p HDR video and resulting banding picture quality problems . In US market , some user will also connect game console to projector such as PS4 pro or xbox x , More game will be in 4K 60/50p HDR format in future. this banding issue cause bomb response from them. Moreoover , video steaming such as Netfilx or amazon movie , apple 4K TV is also an another major trend in future especially US or EU market. More and More steaming video will be in 4K 60/50p HDR (as per my understanding, 4K HDR video in Netfilx seem to be only work in 60/50p, if the media player set as 4k 24p output , HDR will not be available ) . If these projector only act as traditional home theatre purpose such as work with UHD bluray player. they are ok and will have very good picture quality, but when they work with more purpose such as game , video steaming , they seem cannot fulfill their requirement.

In US or EU market, video steaming are much common than us.

是的... 但如果movie 是以60p 攝製的都會有可能有問題. 例如比利·林恩的中場戰事的 UHD HDR bluray 是60p

應該係 60p 只出到 8 bit，有可能出現嚴重的 banding，唔行 60p 就少呢樣問題。
