And if you look carefully at the Zodiac Platinum photo, you may notice that it is DSD256-capable!!!

Hi CK Hing,

that is really powerful DAC for USB input as DSD256 equal to 24bit/705.6KHz data rate.  the USB cable must be really stable enough to support the bandwidth .  

I have tried many Hi End USB cable cannot support 24bit/384KHz and drop packet already.....

Right now there are only 3 DACs in the market that can support DSD256 : exaSound e20 , Merging Technologies Horus and this Zodiac Platinum !

sorry for late reply.   I am using HK$20 grade USB2.0 cable,  the sound is neutral and got no compatibility problem at all.  

Yes, USB2.0 specification maximum speed is 480mbps , normally, when we use a external SSD harddisk and connect it to USB2.0 port , it is NOT easy to transfer data at 50~ 60MB/sec , if we can transfer data at USB2.0 at 480Mbps ,  1GByte will takes around  20 second for transfer.   

Many computer machine terminated cable can support up to 80% of its specification in maximum, the usb 2.0 cable need to be around 105 Ohm to 110 Ohm in impedance.

小弟仍在用緊Zodiac Gold，依然十分滿意，
但要介紹的早己介紹了，開箱文早年己寫過了，現在討論甚麼好呢？

用緊Gold只為DSD就升去Platinum又好似冇乜推動力。
