Panasonic’s European Convention is about to get underway in Amsterdam and the product details are beginning to come through.
Kicking off proceedings we have details on their new 4K Ultra HD flagship TV, the AX802, which they claim is packing "Beyond Smart" features, supreme picture quality, and cutting-edge design.
We’re still upset about Panasonic pulling the plug on their superb plasma ranges but at least some of the engineers who worked on the plasmas have been given a transfer to the LED LCD department, so we’ll be hoping for a number of refinements in terms of picture quality too.
The AX802 will be followed by the AX902, in the Autumn of 2014, so we might not see the huge technological leap(s) until then. The AX902 will offer a superior panel and Panasonic’s ‘highest class’ of local dimming tech. In all honesty, their recent efforts in that department won’t take much topping. |
