當 Apple Music 遇上 Femto Clock

在各大Forum 見到不同的Feedback.  很多人提及AAC 256kbps bit rate.  數字上不夠其他Streaming Audio 大。  

我覺得最重要是如何使 Apple Music 能達到 Audiophile 可接受的音質，能與家人一同發掘音樂，分享HiFi 樂趣，張來upgrade 都容易 get approval.

當然可以用 Macbook, 但用 iPhone / iPad 就更平易近人，家中一部很少用的 Apple TV 用來做Airplay Receiver 就最好不過。

用 iPhone/iPad, 不論坐在沙發或在餐枱，都可選民對擇自己喜愛的音樂。

Apple TV 接上DAC未能滿足 Audiophile 基本的要求。

於是加上 Wyred4Sound Remedy Reclocker.  Remedy "reclock" Apple TV optical digital out 到 24/96 sampling rate (用上Femto Clock) .  Jitter 亦減少很多，不論立體感及聲音線條也有點很大的進步。

在 Showroom 試驗成功，可以在家中 set-up.

訂購了一條toslink cable .  希望再提高音質。

可能我們是現時唯一用Apple music ， ipad， apple tv 做source 的showroom。

音樂的發掘與質素都同樣重要。 streaming music 同 i2s direct music server 都玩。

Finally my new toslink cable arrived.  Mapleshade is a boutique cable company.  I used its HDMI cable for I2S audio signal transmission.  Just excellent.  I have a very high expectation on its toslink cable.  At the end, they have chosen very thin polymer cable, and very specific 14 ft long, not longer, not shorter.  

It is directional!!!  Look at the picture, the black connector for source, and blue connection for receiver.  

It is big improvement over the stock toslink cable.  I like it.  I don't have other toslink cable to compare, don't know how it stand with other premium toslink cables.

Now I have enjoyable Apple Music streaming set-up and enjoy a huge collection of music.   When I found what I like, will buy the lossless record or high resolution record and put it on my W4S Music Server with Femto Clock I2S output to my DACs.  

I like it.

"For You" music recommendation is just great.  I like it .

Tested MOOV HiFi quality record.  Far better than what Apple Music could deliver.  Pretty close to ripped CD Records from music server.  I like it.

iPhone => AppleTV (airplay) => W4S Remedy dejitter (optical toslink input) => Rockna WaveDream DAC (Coaxial input)

Would like to share a few tweaks which transform Apple TV to a high quality streaming music source.  2 more tweaks.

1/ Replace the built-in power supply of Apple TV with a high quality 5V DC power supply.
2/ Apply low ESR capacitors on HDMI 0v-5V and make the 5V power very clean and output super high quality toslink digital output.  Then reclock it with the Remedy using femto clock.  

It is very very nice.  Good YouTube records are just excellent.   Streaming Airplay to this AppleTV is excellent.  Better than steaming to Daphile server.   I brought extra 2nd hand 3rd Gen Apple TV as spare.

I don't understand your question.  I did not make measurement.  I think you are referring to other post not from me.

I see , that was 2015 post .  2 years ago already .  They are product measurement I quoted. Not done by me.
