昨天在旺角買了三套歌劇, 每套$108, 超抵. 不過最開心是買到一張黑膠: Peter, Paul and Mary Ten Years together. Condition 仲好唔錯添!

I also like PPM very much and collect many of their CDs and LPs. I sold all the CDs (all are US first pressing) a few years ago and only keep the LPs.

This LP is very common and can be very cheap for those later pressing (about $60, near mint condition).

Do not buy the new one. It should be the latest pressing. The early pressing sounds much much better.

Label similar like this is a later pressing.


Early pressing of this LP is in gatefold cover. I had a green label pressing of this LP. It sounds much better than the later pressing. Some sellers sell this LP in unreasonable price as they set the price of a later pressing LP as a early pressing one (or they themselves do not know it is a later pressing!)


I have a 'Promotion - Not For Sale' label of this record. I think it is the first pressing and it sounds extreme good.

Both my copies are in gatefold. The one bought in Central is in green label, but the other is not. I'll check if the green one sounds better. But anyway, the one bought yesterday is not bad.

I still got some 45rpm from Japan, each containg only 2 songs.

I only keep a few PPM singles (I bought them more than 20 years ago in US) as a memory.

Those first pressing original album should sound better than the compilation album "(Ten) Years Together" . Does your LPs, PPM (their first album), Moving and In Concert are gold label pressing?

Hi, Patrick, you are really an expert in PPM LPs! I never take care what labels they are until now.
My "Moving" and "in concert" are in gold labels, while "PPM" and "Peter, Paul and Mommy" are in Green.
Hey! Do you "play" their songs as well?

Hello 老火湯,

The gold label "In Concert" should be quite expensive now as this double album is famous especially for audiophile. Another album that is well-known for audiophile is their first album "Peter Paul & Mary". I myself like the "Moving" very much as well. "Peter, Paul and Mommy" is their later release and so I think there is no gold label for this album.

I do not play their songs (as my singing is terrible) though I love to listen them very much.

2013年的來臨, 我第一首與大家分享的歌曲是 Peter, Paul and Mary 的 Where Have All the Flowers Gone, 我是非常喜愛 Peter, Paul and Mary 所唱的歌曲的, 由於我只會把版權期限已過的樂曲上載到 Youtube 並與大家分享, 而 Peter, Paul and Mary 最早的第一張同名大碟出版於 1962 年, 所以等到 2013 年才可以「合法」地分享這首收錄在他們第一張大碟的經典歌曲。

這是從美國第一版的 Gold Label 的黑膠翻錄, Gold Label 的聲音比後期版好很多, 如果喜歡他們的那隻雜錦碟 Ten Years Together 而又未聽過他們的原版大碟的朋友, 要快快找他們的原版大碟聽聽了, 因為原版大碟聲音是好很多的。
