Googleli C Hing, I would say you won't regret buying any of the above mentioned players.  They are all the "Top guns" in today's market.  Since you claim being a "newbie", pls also don't forget the most crucial single element is the size and shape of your listening room and speaker placement.  "Newbie" usually put too much emphasis on "gears" alone but if you have listened to some of the best sounding setups in HongKong, "Gears" are actually not that important!!  So once again welcome to the "Hi-Fi" world and all the best in the roads ahead, my friend.

謝謝各位師兄的意見. 其實我只係在睡房聽headphone用 (LCD2和ED10, 用Leben CS300XS推), 空間所限, 用喇叭是不可能好聲的. 我對前置只是一對Monitor Audio Silver RX8, 主要係AV用.

其實都有諗過加clock, 但一體機加clock影響是否不大? 我睇過有些review話K01/K03加了G-0Rb 和沒加幾乎沒有分別.

I see, Googleli C Hing, in that case, I'll suggest you buying a 2nd hand CD player for around $15k HKD and it's more than enough for your usage.  Actually, if you haven't got the space, using Hi-end gears are mostly a waste of money, unless you've got a lot of cash to spare to satisfy your own ego :)

I agree that without enough space, buying very expensive speakers and amp would be a waste. But with high-end source I still believe it can much improve my existing headphone system. That's why I will bring my headphone amp and headphones to audition the K01 at DCH this weekend. Wouldn't you agree?

I agree that without enough space, buying very expensive speakers and amp would be a waste. But with high-end source I still believe it can much improve my existing headphone system. Sorry Googleli C Hing, I couldn't agree with you.  I think most audiophiles have a very wrong concept regarding the "Source" as the "paramount factor" or the "holy grail", and they try to allocate most of the budget onto this single gear.  As far as digital front end, I have auditioned the most expensive gears this world can offer you and also the cheapest ones, as well as the newest and the oldest.  Let me tell you the truth.  The truth is the speaker has the dominance factor of the whole system.  The power amp has to be well matched with the chosen speaker.  And much of the resolution, dynamics, transparency, tonal balance, speed etc are determined by the "Preamp", not the source!  Actually the preamp is the "soul" of the whole system, and is mostly neglected by most audiophiles!!  I am not saying the digital front end is not important, but a 2nd hand $30k player is already very good in this aspect, unless you've got the space, a very good speaker and a very good preamp and poweramp ready.  Then you'll need a better digital front end.  This is no offense, but If I were you, I'll save up the hard earn money moving into a bigger home before spending $100k on a digital front end :)

師兄你好.

小弟正用緊 k-01 加鐘 (G0s).  其實去到呢個價位同你所列出既牌子其水準已經有番咁上下.  要選擇就已經係口味問題.
如果你唔太相信 clock 對 reduce jitter 既影響你大可忘記k-01了.  

simicity 兄所講既亦很有啟發性.  所有器材乃配搭後成為一体.  唔會有"20萬cd機會令3萬喇叭提升到10萬級別".  玩hi-fi只係想將自己所擁有既器材發揮到其應有既極限.  聆聽空間對於整體發揮亦係重要一環, 如果比唔到足夠空間比整套器材"呼吸"/"吐吶", 咁就會影響整個音場結像同空間感.  始終都係物理問題.
