I'm not saying Weiss 501 not good, and it's DSP is extraordinarily good especially for two channel setup. Headphone
amp part is also well defined but pretty much target on two channel system. Chord Dave is flagship Headphone amp
and most headphone lover also like Chord very much from Hugo, Mojo etc. Like me as a headphone lover, of cause
will recommend Dave and no doubt about it if i have enough budget to own one.
Both Weiss 501 and Dave sound is superbly refined and Dave sound-stage is excellent, managing to be precise, layered and neatly arranged and can drive almost all headphone from 8 ~ 800 ohms.
If for 2 channel setup, Weiss 501 may have advantage with DSP help. |
