For good wife acceptance factor (waf) , you could consider Diapason Astera from Italy,

Or Penaudio Cenya Supreme from Finland.

A closer look with matching stand.



And also JMR Volce Grande from France particularly this blue night pearl high polished-glossy finish. The stand and speaker are 1 piece.







All the above are not only good looking, easy accept by wife and they sound good too but with different characteristics, two of them are available in Mongkok and one in Tsimshatsui, worth exploring.

Try Magnepan Mini Maggie !!

Have used Mini Maggie + Lyngdorf 3400 (also Class D - 400W at 4 ohm) = very good result.  Unbelievable sound stage and transparency.

Definitely no problem for your Aavik U 150 (600W at 4ohm) to drive Maggie.

For Diapason Astera, price should be around 60k but less than 70k. Very classy look exceptional Italian craftsmanship. Sounds warm and easily disappear in the room.

The whole design and marketing team looks smart



Penaudio is now carried by Changye Audio, the latest Supreme series, have to check whether they arrive HK yet. If not available, Signature series should be available for listening. Very Northern European style clean and tidy, maybe less warm than the Diapason. Price range should be 60K or near 70k for Supreme series.

For something really out of the box, could consider Diptyque DP 107 (42.1 inch height, 0.8 inch depth) static panel speaker from France. The following is a video of the smaller DP 77 (30.7 inch height, 0.8 inch depth). It is now carried by Jadis Hong Kong. Price I guess within 60k. The listening experience will be completely different from conventional box speaker. Its footprint is also small, they have 160 colors speaker (panel) cover or you could send your photo to the company.
