Qobuz Subscription

Would like to seek advise from fellow Ching who are user of Qobuz. Like others I subscribed to Qobuz thru TB, my question is, can I log into my account and change the billing card to local credit card ? My concern mainly on the playlist I built in the past, right now I can only renew membership thru the same TB seller, if the seller is gone so do my playlist !
Appreciate any input. Thanks.

On sign up, it will not accept your credit card if it's not from a Qobuz-supported country.

However, I don't know whether changing a credit card involves the same geolocation check.

If you try it, please report.

I’m using local HK credit card with overseas subscription… not an issue.
But I understand that creating an account with local HK credit card isn’t an option now.

Ching how did you started the overseas subscription in the first place ? were you abroad when you first sign up ?

If you started with an overseas CC then switch to local CC later on then I probably will give it a try. Thank you.

Omit#6 as Paypal US account accepts HK based credit cards. Key is have a US mobile number to get the verification code of Paypal. Qobuz does not accept HK based paypal account or just HK credit cards. If have friends in the states ask them to create a log-in (not subscription) or do by vpn. Looks like a lot but it's easy. Just patience. If no friends there or don't want to trouble anyone just pay HK$10 at app store for one week "Text Me".

TB accounts they profit on the family plan so they are not given you an adminstration account. If he's gone so will your account.

Worthless or not is debatable as US accounts are cheaper due to no VAT as it's not in the EU. Database same or not amongst different countries no idea but still a lot. How do you use without your own account?

So far I have been using Qobuz for more than a month through Roon, I am very happy with it and it is great you can enjoy high-res files without the need for a MQA DAC. Its well worth the effort but I am lucky to get advice from @howenintco to set this up , no turning back !!

As for the ching who mentioned different Qobuz uses different databse, may be he can show some screen shot samples in terms of content differences? I use VPN to play through UK, USA and France using the Qobuz desktop, its the same as far as I can tell.

You have to verify it with different accounts. I've done it before and experienced many missing albums on US account.

I see, may be you can suggest a few albums or labels for me to check and see if they're not available from a US base account? I certainly don't want to miss out on good music just because where I'm getting my account from, I'm paying for it anyway so might as well sign in with the right account!

Interesting indeed. First time I heard there are different Qobuz geographical data bases similar to giants like Netflix & Disney. Spotify & Tidal don't have country specific data bases either. Just googled in both English and Chinese before this no such mentioning about Qobuz having different data bases. Like above C-Hing said if they are different then I want the better one too. Just one album or just one music label please to see if my USA account is really worthless. Like to add my Netfiix account if VPN to different countries does provide different contents. Qobuz wise, they look all the same to me too.
