The GO bar also delivers full decoding of MQA, the hi-res streaming technology. This means that the complete ‘three unfold’ decoding process is performed internally, as opposed to just the final unfold in the manner of an MQA ‘renderer’, which makes the GO bar an excellent choice for subscribers to Tidal’s ‘HiFi Plus’ tier where Tidal Masters (MQA) content can be found.

The XMOS 16-Core chip processes the audio data received via the USB digital input.

This new low-latency XMOS microcontroller has greatly enhanced processing power. Compared to the current generation of eight-core chips, this new 16-core IC delivers double the clock speed (2000MIPS) and four times the memory (512KB), as well as the latest SuperSpeed USB standard.

iFi’s in-house digital development team has programmed the XMOS firmware to optimise sound quality and ensure a perfect partnership with the 32-bit Cirrus Logic DAC chipset used in the GO bar.

市場上和 Go Bar 相同尺寸的隨身 DAC 耳擴並不是沒有，甚至還有比 Go Bar 更小的，不過性能能和 Go Bar 相提並論的恐怕目前還不算多。







Go Bar 全機採用鋁合金製作，表面經過精細的陽極處理，質感相當好。它的底面有一整排小孔，每個孔都是一顆 LED 指示燈，可以顯示的資訊可多了，包括當下播放音樂的格式、取樣率、使用的濾波模式、MQA 解碼狀態及音量。燈號一共有 9 顆，由上到下依序是 44/48、88/96、176/192、352/384、DSD64/128、DSD256、MQA、XBass+、XSpace，當你播放 PCM 或 DSD 時，相對應的取樣率就會亮白燈。MQA 燈號可表達的資訊就比較複雜了，除了可以表示播放的音樂是不經軟解的原格式、一般 MQA 或 MQA Studio，也能在切換數位濾波模式時顯示檔位，Go Bar 有四種數位濾波模式可選擇，包括 Bit Perfect 模式、標準模式、最小相位模式，以及 Gibbs Transient Optimised 模式，藉由機身側邊的按鍵切換時，MQA 燈號便會以不同顏色來表示檔位，以利操作。
