Fuse direction/orientation ?

Dear all,

Just wondering...
Any scientific method to decide the direction of the fuse before install on the fuse slot ?
Besides actual listen/watch the differences to find the best orientation.
As you all know that processes is quite complicated. Especially for Audio/Visual system.
