I always look for high C/P equipment and seldom change my system.

My existing system ( VTSP-3 + CJ power amp ) had serviced me for over 10 years. Since the middle of 2022, I considered to upgrade my system. Some C-Hing highlighted that temptation of CJ preamp with my CJ power amp is hard to resist! Unfortunately, CJ's preamp ( such as ART88 and GAT ) is currently outside my budget.

I considered LS28SE. However, my CJ power amp only has RCA input, and I am not sure whether LS28SE ’s RCA output was as good as its balanced outputs.

I then checked with HI FI 德 whether there is any upgrade path for my VTSP-3. I was told that Mr Keith Herron ( the owner and principal designer of Herron Audio ) was about to retire and Mr Herron would build a few sets of preamps before retirement. There is an opportunity to buy one of them.
