The release of Sasha V (https://wilsonaudio.com/products/sasha/sasha-v) is just around the corner and here is some information for your interest.
1 Tweeter
• New Convergent Synergy Carbon (CSC) Tweeter rear-wave chamber, developed for Alexx V and utilized in the Alexia V, 3D printed in-house with carbon fiber material — Greater HF extension, more linear, and better harmonic detail
2 7" Mid-Range
• 7" AlNiCo (Aluminum / Nickel / Cobalt) QuadraMag developed for XVX, also found in the Alexx V and Alexia V — Tonally rich and exquisite in the audio band that the ear is most sensitive to
• Expanded internal side wall rear-wave diffusing pattern and extending diffusion brace height — Faster Mid-Range settling
• Upper module vent modified and tuned for the QuadraMag Mid-Range — Improved Mid-Range agility
3 Woofers
• X-Material thickness increased for Woofer enclosure side walls by approximately 25% — Increased rigidity, decreasing material resonances
4 Enclosures
• V-Material nested in strategic locations (top of Woofer and in Acoustic Diodes) — Vibration control and upper module isolation akin to what is found in the Alexx V and Alexia V
• Aesthetic modifications — Designed for a more organic flow of visual lines from the lower enclosure to upper enclosure
• All internal bracing for both upper and lower modules are now X-Material — Enhanced enclosure dampening
• Overall enclosure size (Sasha V vs Sasha DAW) — Sasha V is 1.25" deeper / same width / 0.25" taller
• Redesigned Woofer blades — Increased rigidity
5 Hardware
• Cable connections secured by the bespoke Wilson Audio multi-connector binding posts with modified knurling — Cleaner signal path with the ability to use spade or banana plug connections
• All new Wilson Audio Acoustic Diode spike system — Better vibration management which has increased the systems dynamics and micro detail
• Wilson Audio spade used in the Chronosonic XVX, Alexx V, and Alexia V used — Optimized to couple with the Wilson Audio binding posts
• External cable wrap, along with new wire dressing solution — Aesthetic appeal
• Resistor mounting hardware now like the Alexia V on carbon fiber with redesigned glass cover, all angled slightly back — Better look and easier to work with
• Bubble level integrated into the top of the Woofer cabinet — Ease of installation and accurate leveling system
• Custom Wilson Audio cable grip hardware, designed in-house, specifically to work with the V-Cable passing signal from the Woofer XO to the upper XO
• Upper module two-position front spike track for additional adjustment locations — Better time alignment accuracy and more adaptable to a wider variety of listening rooms and listening positions
6 Crossover Components
• AudioCapX-WA capacitors used throughout XO & uniquely wound at Wilson Audio to extremely tight tolerances — Added low level resolution
• New copper version of the AudioCapX-WA capacitor developed and introduced in the Sasha V — High frequency micro detail is more resolved
• Full frequency response linearization — Most linear Sasha developed
• New capacitor winding machines up and running — Producing the most accurate, consistent, and best sounding capacitors RelCap has ever made.
