今日用野'攝'支SME V將個Shure mm頭較正個Azimuth
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Billy c-hing, Please explain a bit more about how to adjust Azimuth with SME IV or V (which have fixed head shells). After correct setting of VTA and alignment, is it okay to use paper to 攝 the gap between the cartridge and the head shell? If so, what kind of paper is good for this purpose? What are the recommended procedures? A lot of questions from a new-hand. Thanks a lot.
How about:
1) Set correct alignment with alignment tool
2) Set correct VTA (i.e. tonearm parralel to LP surface)
3) Set VTF (e.g. 1.5 gram)
4) Set anti-skate force (e.g. two-third of VTF)
5) Adjust Azimuth (use paper as needed)
One more question is that the tonearm cable 5-pin connector/socket of SME IV can rotate freely by 360 degrees. Would this rotation twist the internal wiring inside the arm tube and cause breaking? I wonder how the internal wires are connected to the 5-pin socket that can avoid twisting and breaking? Thanks again |
