YES, you idea is sure can solve the problem,
but don't know the reason why they do like this.
may be they don't want the power cord position too high

USB非新野, Y屎係死硬FireWire, 個 202 design 係optimized 比 FW, Design circuit 不變,  USB input D聲應該會唔同. 出USB係因為大勢所趨.但係呢個價買來比USB input, 市場應該有更好更抵 D choice.
