just bought MRX300
followed install/ setup to the letter (what few there are)
during ARC Im having problems (surprise)
so far spent 7 hours over 2 days with various little problems/ updates/ downloads ect. ect. its now 1:30am i'm middle of my work week so pardon my mood::confused:
tried running ARC many many times these are the results.
speakers in testing order and what channel is displayed:
LF-OK (loud)
center-OK (not to loud)
RF-OK (loud)
R surr-ok (loud)
Movie Right rear AUX error measurement was not able to acquire proper response code 0x03
*note* I have the 2 extra rear channels set to zone 2 / off
this is where the program stops
now when go in under advance menu and test individual channels choice rear surround left and right work but the left and right AUX rear do not work and halt the testing..
also the SUB is silent for testing as well
Whats going on here???
during normal operation (out of correction/ test modes)
I can hear ALL channels functioning fine...
i dont know what else to do..
i have tried most everything I could search for in these threads (learned ALLOT) but not to fix this problem (this is more than an "issue")
Self powered Sub is hooked via LFE, no EQ, (HSU brand)
please help im soo tired and will have to continue to 3rd day
thank you!!:o
So Sorry for the frustrations! I'm hoping this is a simple classic mistake that most all of us with 5.1 made the first time we setup the MRX...
You have correctly set the Rears/Heights to Zone 2, that is good... now when you run ARC, it will ask which speakers to test... you need to set the Rears/Heights to "No Speaker". ARC actually walks around your speakers in a clockwise pattern starting with the:
1) Front Left
2) than Center
3) Front Right
4) Right Surround
5) Rear Right Surround
6) Rear Left Surround
7) Left Surround
8) Sub
It sounds like you are getting to #5 (which you should not be testing... and won't be once you set ARC to "No Speaker"). For most all of us, this was the reason our first ARC runs failed. Once the Rears/Heights are set in ARC to "No Speaker" before you begin your sweeps, steps 5 & 6 will be skipped.
