remote for electric screen?

Dear Ching,

May I know what remote would you suggest for motorised electric screen?  IR or RF

What are their pros and cons?  

Most importantly, price info please.

I bought this one in TB before at about RMB65. It come with 2 controllers, one is remote and the other is for you to fix on the wall. Normally you will use the remote control but if you lose the remote then you can still use the one on the wall.



Use the wording "投影幕遙控 " to search in TB la.

P.S. those selling at RMB3X come with one remote controller without the redundancy fixed controller.

AS pepsiman said, you have to install yourselves or find a master to install it. The package comes with manual that you can follow.

Here is my work for your reference (but Stewart may have less wires), not that difficult!

I think most of the remote control selling in TB are using RF.

The advantage is: you can control the screen without pointing directly to the receiver, but
the main draw back is: you can't learn it with universal remote control (need to learn via IR) to make macro control.

By the way do any of these remotes of memory setting, ie, making the screen stop at more than one spot?

我都用緊淘記 remote. i guess there is no memory set to stop at various height.

而且係第二頭住家工具不足，

我已经扭得好緊，用到衣家ok 冇事

個停位應該靠隻幕既摩打，

我個隻上盡自动停，但落要人手停。

除非你l揾到隻remote learn 到佢 (經RF),

而又有得 set 時間。

I know it has to be set from the screen but I believe you can only set the screen to stop (when it is going down) at one location mechanically, what I was saying is whether there are remote that can be programmed to stop the screen at different locations, this will be useful for those who want to stop the screen for 2.35 or 16.9 aspect movies.
