C50 pre amp as DAC

Hi all c hings,

Am in the market of refreshing my systems (currently full set of Naim) driving Sonus Guaneri.

I am not that fever now and would like something simple.

My source is Mac Mini with Pure Music and now through a Naim DAC.

May I ask if any c hing use C50 as a DAC also for CAS? And what kind of power amp can go with the C50?

Other choice are a DAC with a MA7000.

My budget for the above (pre+power) or (MA7000+DAC) is in the range of 80-100k.

Thanks.  Long time no see and I kind of lost fever.  Just sold my whole set of Naim and want something different.

However, it does look like the C50 does not have MAC support and my only source now is a Mac Mini with PureMusic, can I still use the Coaxial?

Will a 252 be enough for power amp part as I am still keeping my Sonus Guaneri.

C50 既好處係支援 32Bit/192kHz wav/flac 直接播放
其實如果真係想靚聲唔見意用mac 住
windows 用 asio 行 bitperfect 基本上已經好完美既輸出來
只要用一部平平地既notebook , 改用行ssd , 聽歌時唔插火牛(只用叉電) 唔聽先插返火牛叉電
再買條ww usb cable (紫色夠晒用架啦), 效果真係好到你唔信... 來過我家聽過既朋友都應該會認同 !!!

I just tested in HiFi Gallery.

Macbook Pro>C50>302... Not too convinced or impressed

then MBP>C50>275  .... Deeply poisoned.

ilccmcf c-hing, I dont have a single Windows platform and all the CAS is now in the NAS thru Puremusic -> Macmini -> hiface converter -> coaxial out.

Likely I won't change to Windows platform.  Just thinking if I should keep the current set up or use USB direct.
