Mac+NAS請教

我現在是NAS(在房) > router > mac mini（在廳)作為CAS. 由於我部pc亦在房，方便做editing，如用pc轉歌以aiff格式存入NAS，是否可以用廳的Mac mini用iTunes 來聴？邏輯是應該可行的，應該如何做？請賜教！

yes, itune already linked to NAS. Then.....? next step?

All you need is config iTunes to use the folder in the NAS as the music source.

但是因為新加的file在MAC MINI的ITUNE上未PLAY過, 我如何可以搵返新加入的檔案呢? 或ITUNE自己會自動UPDATE DATA FILE from NAS?

I am not too sure what you mean.  For me, all musics files are stored in the NAS and in the Mac Mini itunes, I "pointed" its source to the NAS so it will go to the NAS to find the music folders disregard of which media I use to store the music to the NAS.

你的NAS 是什麼brand 什麼版本，有沒用iTunes server ? 如果無就要自己 在iTunes 開playlist

不論是PC(房) 或MAC MINI (廳), 2者的都是將歌曲存於NAS, 並在NAS中提取曲目.

我意思是指如果我在(房)PC上EDIT左隻新CD並stored入去NAS, 但在MAC MINI(廳)如何有新的CD COVER出現在ITUNE上呢? 因為現時MAC MINI上是有已有的CD COVERS, 新的又不是在此MAC MINI中加入, 它如果可以知道有新的CD?並有新的CD COVER出現在ITUNE上?

Not hard, but not very easy:
1. Setup share folder (Windows File Sharing / Mac OS File Sharing) of the folder with music files
2. In Mac OSX, open "Connect to Server", input server address and share name and connect

3. Open itunes, go to "Preference", update the setting to tell itunes NOT to copy music files to local library (that means to tell itunes to read music files from NAS directly)

4. Drag and drop the music files (supposed you can mapped it in step 2) to itunes. Done!

如果是在PC上應該如何做? 我是希望在PC上做所有EDITING, MAC MINI只是用來聽歌就OK.

我電腦是有限公司, 希望可以SETP BY STEP地進行.

我已經將MAC & PC的存放路徑指向NAS.

我是希望在PC上做EDITING, 在MAC上播. 但因為MAC上從未播過我在PC新加入的CD, MAC又如何知道有新CD加入呢?

The itunes in your Mac no ways knows changes done on PC itunes as they have two separate local library.
The setup to "link" the music file only, the library (or say "index") can never be shared or sync. Each time you done some changes on library, you have to update manually on the other side.

Manually 我有＞700G的檔案，每次有新加入cd都重新由頭整理一次咪好誇張？！亦或iTunes 會自動更新新加入的部分，跳過相同的？

如果已經將存放路徑指去NAS, 是否應該 "take" 此處?
