how to match a pre amp and power amp

Hi all ching,

Sometimes people said some pre and power amp are perfect match... may i know how to make sure the output impedance are correctly match? as my pre-amp can adjust the figures..

please help

For preamp, lower output impedance is better.  For power amp, higher input impedance is better.

e.g. your preamp output impedance is 200ohm, while the power amp input impedance is 47Kohm.  The the ratio would be 47000/200 = 235 which is pretty good.  My rule of thumb is >200 is a good match, higher is better.  A >200 ratio will have less sensitive to the interconnect cable capacitance and get better results.
