Bought the Cary Audio CD 303T for one month already. When I bought it, an important feature I like is it has DAC input for 光纤, 同轴 and USB. I don't want to waste these feature, so I tried to play CAS last night.
I am a computer tech myself, so I have many laptops. I used one old Dell "netbook style" laptop with XP PRO SP3, installed foobar 1.16 Chinese version, and Cary USB audio driver from Cary's website. Turned on the CD player, choose USB. Connected USB cable from laptop to USB input in the back of the CD player. Windows recognized the Cary USB audio driver , opened foobar and played a cue+wav file. Wow, sound not bad at all! It is much better than I use PC's HDMI to AV processor to play music before. I also tried some 24/96 FLAC files.
CAS is simply to start but hard to play good, I will use this laptop to practice. When I play more, I will start to use a newer laptop with SSD, Win8 and more RAM. Change an USB "Audio" cable is also need to be done.
