Replaced Anthem AVM50V with this little one for 2 CH listening. My setup is Oppo 103->XLO Coaxial cable->Benchmark DAC2->AQ Colorado XLR cable->Anthem MCA50->Paradigm Studio 100.
Very happy with 2 CH performance of this DAC/Preamp.

Nice CD Transports are quite expensive woh....

A good CAS may be an alternate solution.

I bought it from Amazon, USD $1995 no tax. (I bought the last one for no tax)

Vol control is fine for me, I am going to test using it as a DAC to connect to AVM50V for playing around.

Can the dac2 be used as a pre amp to drive your power amp directly? Wonder if that would sound bdtter?

That is what I am use now, dac2 as preamp and connect to power amp directly.
