I am using Pass Labs X-250.5 poweramp, used to use the Music First Passive Preamp and Audio Research LS-27 with it, but finally found the Pass labs XP-20 sounding the best as a combo! Best in coherence, tonal balance, very musical, delicate and full of details! XP-30 have better resolution, bigger sound stage, more 3 dimensional, and richer in texture than the XP-20. But XP-20 sound a bit refine, delicate, emphasize of inner details. IMHO, if the listening area over 300 sq. ft. with big speaker and music preference for Jazz big band, large scale classical, opera, XP-30 would a better choice......... |
