先多謝網友 Blau 兄的幫忙, 令我順利買左 Adnaco-S3B. 唔買Adnaco PCIe 係因為唔想花太多錢去再買埋張USB卡.同埋Adnaco-S3B體積也較小,client 只要一個5V 500mA的供電已經可以.

Host 卡, 插在 PC 內



Client, 獨立出來, 輸出USB3兩個, 可以駁去解碼個USB-IN

Blau ching has very detail setup for your reference. For me, I am going to use JPlay, two PCs, linear PSU on both PCs. It already spent me two months in doing these. And I still just 30% completed. I would say, compare to playing Cubox/Voyage, this kind of CAS source is like burning money and time. I hope the sound quality is supreme.

It can work in both windows and mpd smoothly.
There is one usage notice that is to switch it on before power on the pc otherwise the device might not be recognized.

My only complaint is that it is a bit hot during operation.

Indeed, I felt it sounds better than the SOTM in my system.

Yes, the web site has mentioned that. And I was so stupid that I forgot to install driver so it can't work at first.

My only complaint is that it is a bit hot during operation.

You mean the USB remote client right? I agree with you that it is quite hot. It shouldn't be that hot according to the datasheet, anyway... I think that's why it makes an aluminum chassis for it.

I googled and found that sotm USB card is a filter kind of USB card that filters the power line only, from my research, it seems that USB signal is hard to filter therefore it only filters power line.

This fiber system tries to isolate the noise from PC side, it's different concept to the filtering PCIe card installed in PC. I don't know which one is better. Usually, using both together would be better as they serve different purpose.

PC2: Server PC, for receiving files from control PC, put in RAM to play
The andaco-S3B installs in server PC

You may find single mode online, it got better sound.  More quiet I. The background.  

And find a good single mode cable.  

May be you can find on taobao for good cable.

The sound is much better with adnaco for sure, I have tested again with friend last week.  The different is more significant when using switching psu.

Both single-mode transceiver modules and single-mode cables can be found in taobao.
Much cheaper than ordering from Adnaco or other overseas companies.

If it's compatible with the standard 3rd party modules I suppose those SFP LX modules for Cisco switches should also work (which I happen to have some spares), and now it's really tempting for me to get this Adnaco gear.

Yes, it is multi-mode by default, but you can change to single-mode.
