Modifying a MAC Mini

Hi, my 3 years old Mac Mini's CD/ DVD drive has problem and always cant read now.  May I ask if there is any shop that do modification and which is a good ROM for ripping?  

Anther choice is I get an external ROM just for CD ripping, any recommendations?
