Linn 40th Anniversary Limited Edition 'WHISKY CASK' Sondek Turntable

Linn celebrates the 40th Anniversary by collaborating with the Scottish whisky Highland Park:

(1) To create a Limited Edition Sondek LP12 Turntable encased in a beautiful wood plinth, crafted from the solid oak casks used to mature Highland Park's award winning whisky.

(2) This turntable is paired with a special bottling of Highland Park 40-year old whisky, designed exclusively for Linn.

小弟都喜歡whisky，但就未品嘗過 HighLand Park，要去買番支試吓啦！

40年太貴了，30年的尚可負担。

i would say it taste far better than the so called very good johnny walker bluelabel.  it is as tasteful as 12 year macallan single malt and fine oak.

i have even blind tested with my friends with 12 year macallan fine oak, 12 year macallan sherry oak, 12 year highland park single malt and the johnny walker blue label.  the result is the sherry oak is a bit sweet but still very good.  the blue label ranked the last and it us NOT to spend the money on it any more but same money for a few bottles of macallan + highland park.

wow, if your's is a cheap combo then mine is a rubbish bin standard.

1991 highland park ...... 22 years old ...... we don't see the "year" much but only age.  but the "age" product is only a mix.  we dont even get the age from airport dutyfree now.

Duck hing, mine is really basic ah....cheap Roksan arm with Denon 103r only.

Regarding whisky, I can only find this in airport duty free, not often I see age whisky.  Recently I drink less due to stomach problem.....this HP is for watching or decorating the living room only

BTW, I notice your acc photo is a 205, I drove 205 GTI 1.9 in late 90's.  Love it.

seems like you are probably from the museum too, oh the same museum i am in.

i am still keeping that pug but seldom take it out for a walk as it is just too old.  my first pug started its life with me also in mid 90s

I still think Afamosa plinth gives the best Linn LP12 sound! I tried other plinths and recent model of LP12, I still keep this one! Of course mine is much much cheaper than GBP 25000( only GBP 2500!!!)

wow, you are lucky to able to keep it.  In late 90's I crashed it and sold the remaining to a fellow 205 owner as parts cos I was too poor to fix it.....)
