Speaker Cable Selections for current systems

Hi all,

After getting the McIntosh 601, decided to keep the Guarneri Memento but feel the current speaker cable (Yter) cannot reach the ultimate highs.

What would be a good choice amongst the above?  I am not familiar with Siltech model, so please suggest.

I have used Siltech 550 sc and Audionote SPXII in my Burmester 082 with Marten Design Miles 5 before. I found that Spx 2 doesn't give enough bass in my present set-up in which the bass is not tight and Deep.  For Siltech 550, its strong Siltech characteristics overtunes the whole system and become Sitech sound. I would definitely not buy Siltech speaker cable though it gives excellent full range and resolution.

For low price Siltech sc, it has 3 models: 330, 550 and 770. 550 is about 22K and 770 is about 37K. If you like Siltech sound, 550 is value for money out of these 3 models.

So you would not suggest to use Siltech at all?

For 1603, how is the high frequency performance?

Siltech 訊號缐我都會考慮，因分析力全頻低頻很好，音染個性冇Siltech喇叭缐般勁，如部amp夠力，我覺得Audio Note音色最好，但低頻就真是麻麻。

You can take a audience of VOVOX TEXTURA FORTIS or SwissCables Ref series.Both of them have natural, musical and high quality sound .

Just for your reference. I am using Connex Audio Ultimate speaker cables. It is made of sixteen cores of 0.6mm 99.99+% solid silver conductors per channel in oversize PTFE Teflon insulation for 99.9% air dielectric. The performance is much better than the cheap speaker cables I used before and the price is rather inexpensive.   
   
However, I have not used other expensive speaker cables in my system, so I don't know their performance compared with Audio Note and Siltech, etc.

Any other recommendations?  It does look like the Yter is a good price/ performance and maybe I should concentrate on looking at RCA between the DAC to Preamp.

How does SPX MK3 win MK2 in terms of bass performance?

I found that SPX Mk2 is quite weak in bass comparing with Siltech 550L and even another DIY pioneer speaker cable. For full frequency range performance, I concur that 550L is much better than SPX Mk2 though I don't like the vocal of Siltech 550L.

I compared SPX II and SPX III.
The result showed SPX III outperform SPX II especially on bass performance.
SPX II gave you good result at mid/high frequency, and transparent sound stage, but weak at bass; while SPX III gave you more solid mid/high frequency and much solid base performance. Both Mk2 and Mk3 delivered wonderful sound stage, and without much coloration on sound character. So Mk3 is a good upgrade path for Mk2 users who love the Mk2 character.

Yeah! I love AN sound much except for the bass performance.
