我想玩cas, 可否幫幫我…..

I have a CDP, Stereo AMP and speaker (as listed in my signature below).

My friend can give me some songs and encourage me to play CAS (but I rejected him as it is illegal). But I still want to play CAS.

As such, I want to spend HKD5,000 to try CAS.

I have ipad 2, a spare RCA cable, what else I need to buy?
a DAC only?
or a computer notebook?

Any recommendation of DAC ?

Forgive me for saying this, not very legal

You must have some CDs yourself right?  A quick way to do some ripping of your own is purchase software online, like dbpoweramp for only USD38.  EAC is even free, both are defacto standard in CD ripping.  

I also think getting music of someone else cannot really tell you if CAS is your thing, you should compare CAS with CDs that you have, something that you are familiar with.

The rest is easy, tones of CAS expert on this forum.

Please don't take this the wrong way, just sharing thoughts.

CAS 可以好多玩法.  就自iPad 接 RCA 輸出入AMP 都已經可以玩到. Forum 中經常有師兄們分享不同玩法, 只係請樓主收起"My friend can copy me a harddisk of songs (he plays CAS)", 如果係一隻半隻 album 係想聽左先買或者真係市面上揾唔到就無辦法(其實嚴格嚟講以上兩個情況都唔啱)

我明白軟件係好難理解唔使錢就有做乜仲要咁辛苦俾錢買仲可能要自己RIP CD. 或者比喻為交稅同攞綜援, 會唔會更有切膚之痛?

If your CDP support USB input, you will save the cost of DAC.  You should have a computer or notebook to instal itune or foobar (subject to you) and then to instal player software (e.g. Amarra, Audirvana Plus).  
If you have ipad 2, I think you prefer to instal itune, and then to instal the app of 'Remote'.  You can use your ipad as a remote to control your itune to play your desired songs.

我就係懶rip碟， 又唔鍾意抄file！

所以到依家都未玩CAS

我就用desk top windows AirPlay 去Apple TV ， iPad remote , apply TV 光纖去 DAC 十分方便，屋企CDs 唔多，十概五六百隻，全部ITunes 自己rip CDs

我現在都是用apple tv optical output 到DAC,
然後RCA 到brik amp出喇叭，因屋企一直用imac, 之前已經用itune rip 了幾佰隻CD 到imac,
其實用apple tv 揀imac 嘅歌真的好方便㗎！
