Music Server

Hi all C hings,

I am currently using a MAC Mini as source, thinking to upgrade the streaming server to Linn or other brands, but may I ask if it is easy to transfer the music files out?  I currently didnt use any NAS and all files are inside the Mac Mini.

你想要一部 播放器 係要另外連接 NAS先播到歌 ，定內置 硬碟唔駛接其他存放歌的野，直接可以播放

stom music server； Aurender Music Server； 等等都是簡單一部內置可播歌
你當硬碟過硬碟就得，過歌很易

Thanks.  But as all my files including clip art are using iTunes to rip and store, any website teach me how to transfer?

如果樓主打算用類似Linn既player，都係添置多一個NAS比較方便，就算平平地既WD MyBook Live都好，當然功能強勁如 Synology 及 QNAP 就更加好，但有點要注意，功能強勁既你要考慮埋風扇既noise會唔會對自己有影響。WD MyBook Live 雖然慢，又冇乜功能，但係play音樂方面係唔緊要，只係管理時要忍耐少少，但就冇風扇，冇熱力，冇噪音。

雖然，files放响電腦，好多player都可以直接play倒，但如果有NAS，就可以唔需要開住電腦，都可以享受音樂，仲唔駛擔心電腦噪音。但D files 你就要先要copy去NAS，我自己經驗，最好都係用FLAC，因為添加封面，歌名資料等比較方便，雖然好多師兄都建意用WAV，話係最好聲，但响我套雞記組合就聽唔出分別，我就冇去諗佢。再者，除了好聲，使用上方便度，觀感等對我黎講都係一種享受，所以我會咁選擇。

仲有一樣野要有心理準備，我之前都係用 iTunes，所有封面同歌曲資料都係用 iTunes 管理，但將D files抄晒過去NAS之後，幾乎所有都出唔倒封面同歌曲資料，要再入過晒。

我用緊synology，可play flac, wav, mp3, aif，可用手機控制play歌，聲音有CDP八九成，遲下會入部cubox，到時聽歌應該會好好多

提一提你，樓主如果是發燒級玩家，你NAS又要管有無風扇，又要唸比獨立電整做線性牛比NAS，另你經lan連接傳送音樂檔，又發可能發燒地唸用靚的Lan線去提升聲音 ，像我早前就再另外加光纖盒在nas和router之間去過濾雜訊，一邊是NAS去router，一邊是播放器去router ，另router都想比獨音電佢 ，又玩埋 NAS墊材 最後想用SSD去代替硬碟減震
何止多隻香爐，除非樓主認為我以上說的都是沒有用或不追求好聲只求方便
以上都是真心試過對聲音有用的改善方法
所以計計條數，像我這種煩人買個咩都唔駛理的一體過music server算了，最多向更高級的升，否則小數怕長計

完全同意，但唔係小數怕長計，條條都係大數。

所以當年我一看就心唸咁貴aurender 甚至 weiss 等 的music server
經過兩年投入左一條大數搞餐x後，而家對發燒級一體化 music server充滿興趣
甚至願意以發燒級轉盤的價錢去買發燒級music server
我是真心將行過的路分享，別看輕 玩 FAS
不平，但卻可以好好聲的，把目標試定在和2嫂轉盤比較

我硬係覺得hifi專用music server係marketing gimmick，好似係一部有internal storage嘅player，都無乜提佢嘅server capabilities。

我覺得所有係CAS做嘅infrastructure嘅投資，係可以全部用得返，尤其是如果你唔係用部music server嘅digital out

如果你將來個 CUBOX 行埋 voyage mpd，我諗你以後唔會用 NAS 播歌。

I am a Aurender S10 user. It's very easy to setup. All you need is connect S10 to your network (I am using wired network, not sure about wireless). Install the Aurender app on iPad (and only iPad, not iPhone, not any android device). Setup a network share then you can connect to this share like a network drive. Then you can copy the songs to it. Aurender will then refresh its library automatically then upload the library to your ipad app. Then you can play!

But one thing, Aurender's internal harddisk is not mirrored. So you might want to backup your songs regularly.

I used Squeezebox touch before. After using aurender, I like it so much not just the sound quality, but the simplicity of setting it up (no need to setup a NAS then media library in it, and then itchy to spend money on network cable, dedicated switch, powed supply for NAS...)

macmini itself can be a good music server, just install Jriver, and invest in high quality DAC which has more impact on sound quality.

Totally agree! This is exactly why I bought Aurender S10

Diamondblack兄，如果你睇下Aurender S10嘅機身布局，所用嘅鐘等等就知佢唔只係一部有internal storage嘅storage server。

亦因為佢冇乜server capabilities只係專心播音樂先係最好！

其實Music Server係樓主嘅題，Aurender稱S10為Music Playback and Storage Solution

我應該係Aurender S10最早一批用家，其他器材換左幾轉都無諗過換部S10....除左好滿意S10的音質外，佢重播音樂真係好方便，啱曬我依d電腦低手兼無時間攪CAS既懶人。  依家重可以重播DSD檔案，正晒！

師兄有冇用s10試玩dsd?

我試過喺2L下載過sample dff file，就咁直接抄落去s10就認到仲play到，不過我部dac唔aupport dsd所以冇聲出
