I used VPI. It would be interesting to compare with KM. In any case, as with other reviewers, I don't find any degradation of the highs. Indeed highs seems improved now that the whole presentation becomes darker (better S/N). Some drawbacks: to me is that it is still noisy during the drying cycle (no worst than the VPI). Sometimes, every few records, there may still be a few tiny drops of water near the lead-out area. It is not that the record is not sufficiently dry but that a few droplets are blown onto the record. A better design is to allow, like the wash cycle, more than one blow-dry cycle. Yes, it is expensive for a record cleaning machine. But I would not regret my purchase as I want to clean record well automatically. I guess as this technology matures, price may drop.
I read that early units have reliability problems. I also read that the problems seem to have been solved.
