Rega P8 Upgrade Opinion

Any C hing is a Rega TT users?  I am wondering if there are any shop can help to upgrade the tone arm cable of the Rega arm?

DIY is not difficult.
I have a Rega P3 some years ago with RB300 arm, the tonearm wires were replaced with Cardas wires and cartridge clips by myself. I just ordered all parts from parts connection.
Not sure about the RB808 arm but structurally it is similar to RB300.

I would also suggest to replace the original RP8-Foot to Stillpoints Ultra SS! I did, and I'm extremely happy after this little upgrade!

Mac hing, can you share more about the procedure as well as cost for the replacement?

Nowadays, where can I get Stillpoint?

I have very poor skills in soldering and stuff so will be quite hesitated to DIY myself.

HiFi 德 in Central carries Stillpoints products. You can speak to them and tell them that you like to get a set of 3 Ultra SS for the use under the RP8, they will also provide you the threads(not come with the SS) that are go between the adapters of the RP8 & Ultra SS!
They did that for me and I believe they can do the same for you! Price wide, you've better  speak to them directly!

BTW, In terms of the threads, you don't have to use them if you do not want to! I bought them and installed them but I'm currently using the set of SS without the threads & adapters! (i.e. just having the RP8 sits on the top of the set of SS directly!)

I think the after sales service is fair enough! I've got assistant from them couple of times on the TT!

Actually, I contacted the distributor of Rega via email in December 2014, he replied me that the RP10 would be arrived in the end of the month! However, the quoted price was little higher than  the price listed in UK as I could remember!
