Room acoustics correction software

硬件上，好多人都討論到。但軟件上就少討論，有都係player或者rip軟件多。最近無意間找到一隻Dirac改善房間效應嘅軟件，因我套Hifi係放睡房書枱上，於是就登記Download試用版，另外再訂咗支全方向測試Mic。其實隻軟件要成HK$3247… 所以先分享一下，再睇下大家對呢隻軟件有咩睇法

1)當然先要去到呢度登記同Download試用版︰http://www.dirac.se/en/online-store.aspx
2)之後再買支Mic，唔係好貴，幾舊水

3)駁好Mic再開Dirac Live Calibration Tool，先選想調教嘅USB Dac或者sound card

4)Set Mic同load calibration file

5)教Volumn同試下收音

6)好，選房間大細，我當然揀chair，之後就依指示開始在9點測音

7)測完音就可以按Optimize再save filter，當然亦可manual自己黎，不過唔識亦費事煩

8)之後開Dirac Audio Processor，再load save好嘅filter同選好dac。再到Foobar 選Dirac playback device就可以播歌


一開聲，心就沉一沉，細聲咗咁多… 之後再由9點開大聲D到11點再聽，發覺音場冇變，detail咗dd，人聲或者樂器聲分隔度又高咗D，整個結像又好咗D。不過成HK$3247… 對我呢個窮鬼黎講都15/16，唔知好冇買咗佢… 大家又點睇呢？

哈哈，不過得一年update，應該唔support DSD。同o係win8.1行有D瑕疵，auto load at startup唔到。再搵下睇下有冇其他類似軟件係平D先，冇先買

I use the built-in DIRAC in Amarra.  I found the default flat curve resulted in losing details in mid and high region.  So at the end, I just fiddled the low frequency region, say under 100Hz.

I think the mic is from MiniDSP (I bought from them also), a HK company.

"default flat curve"? you mean automatic "Optimize"?  I only know that the software will optimize the curve for us after measurement.  At the first trial, I flipped the left & right during measurement Haha, did you flip the left & right measurement points as well?

Yes, "default flat curve" means automatic optimise.  No. I don't think I flipped right and left during measurement.

My problem then was bass a little too much and after measurement, it showed there was a peak at 60Hz in +10dB.  After trial and error, I settled at +4dB.

Dirac 話所有player 都用到，因當你開咗Dirac Audio Processor之後係會多咗個Dirac Playback device出黎，你set佢做default device就可以了。我就只用foobar，完全冇問題。

所有 player? 但係我用linux player

Yes, I can turn on/off DRC anytime on the fly.  And I can make as many curve as I want and switch among them on the fly when listening.

Haha, so it's not only a acoustics correction software, but also a sound tuning software~ the price with Amarra is quite expensive indeed...
