My pinning of Burmester amp's balanced input is:

PIN1=GND,  PIN2=NEG,  PIN3=POS

If it connects with another device with balance output as follows, is it compatible with the pin assignments of Burmester amp?  Thx.

PIN1=GND, PIN2=hot, PIN3=cold.

The dealer told me six years ago that I had to connect the Metronome CD player with Burmester amp with inverted phase connection of loudspeaker.  Is it right?

Yes, except speaker cables using different material and geometry for the two opposing polarities.
One can make use of the phase inverter on the pre-amplifier or DAC if any.

Thx

That means PIN2 =Hot is not compatible with PIN2 = Negative.

It does not matter, as long as you do the inversion using the phase inverter on your pre-amp or DAC, or simply reverse the polarity of your speaker cables, i.e. POS to NEG on both channels.
