The DM 2/8 is highlighted in the September 2008 issue of The Abso!ute Sound in a feature on budget high end systems. The DM 2/8 was selected as a speaker of choice for a "Tube-Nirvana" system, and was praised for delivering "big dynamics from a small package".

Dynaudio Engineers designed the DM series to be as affordable as possible without sacrificing quality. While wrapped in high-quality laminate instead of wood veneers, the DM cabinets are constructed to the highest standards, preventing any resonance or coloration. This performance is assured by the solid front baffle and rigid cabinet, as well as by the highly rigid die-cast aluminum mid/bass driver basket.

An unusually large 8″ mid/woofer effortlessly reproduces the dynamic range and low frequencies of your favorite recordings. Dynaudio pairs a strong Magnesium Silicate Polymer cone with their lightweight pure aluminum voice coils to allow this level of performance. High frequencies are masterfully handled by a Dynaudio soft dome tweeter and a 6 dB per octave crossover ensures ideal driver integration.

Outstripping the dynamics and bass of many floorstanding speakers, the Dynaudio DM 2/8 offers the perfect solution for your music or home theater system.
