由港樂的音樂總監梵志登親自指揮的「貝多芬全集」現已於城市售票網開賣！第一場音樂會梵志登將會讓激昂的「英雄」交響曲與活潑的第八交響曲互相輝映，為貝多芬全集揭開序幕。

貝多芬的《第三交響曲》又名「英雄」（Eroica)，顧名思義，此曲是具英雄風格的。

第一樂章表現豪邁，強勁而有力，第二（葬禮進行曲）及第三（詼諧曲）的鋪排與《第五交響曲》互相呼應，最終樂章─變奏曲的音樂主題也曾運用於芭蕾舞劇《普羅米修斯》及供鋼琴演奏的《英雄變奏曲》。

Often referred as “Sinfonia Eroica” (Italian) or “Heroic Symphony”, the first movement of the symphony in sonata form is vivacious and full of emotional depth and energy. The second (funeral march) and the third (scherzo) reminds the audience Beethoven’s Symphony no. 5. He used the theme of the last movement, variations, in his earlier ballet, “The Creatures of Prometheus, op. 43” and “Eroica Variations” (The Variations and Fugue for Piano in Eb Major).

The best recorded performance of the "Sinfonia Eroica" is Otto Klemperer's 1955 account in mono (EMI).

貝氏的創作涵蓋無數體裁，包括交響曲、序曲、協奏曲、鋼琴奏鳴曲、小提琴奏鳴曲、弦樂四重奏、鋼琴三重奏、歌劇、(二百多首) 獨唱藝術歌曲、神劇、配劇音樂等，歷時三月也奏不完呢！

這個耗費龐大的項目祇有DGG才能負擔。遺憾的是錄音質素並不超卓。

話説有一天在信和中心7樓發現一套日本EMI本銷正價版 Otto Klemperer 指揮 Philharmonia Orchestra & Philharmonia Chorus 演奏貝多芬交響曲全集，只售 HK$ 1,500。我差一點買了。
