weiss man301 vs aurender n10

I am planning to change music server . My target is weiss man301 (only server version) and aurender n10 . Which one is better ? i prefer to connect the music server to my DCS puccini + U- clock ( as DAC purpose)

Thanks for your advice. but this music server is too expensive to me . it is more than 4-5 times expensive than weiss and aurender.

Although weiss man301 and aurender s10 , how about totaldac d1 server .?

I would suggest you book an audition and try both of them.

They handle files, source, data transfer, GUI in all different ways. Since both of them are using AES/EBU to a DAC, you can also compare their sound quality differences.

I also wonder, especially the sonic difference between man301 and n10 as the streamer only when connecting to the same DAC.

Call Ben Sir and make an audition session.... and listen to the Sound Galleries Music Server (SGMS) and Totaldac sever.

The SGMS is really a state-of-arts ! !   

Moreover, you can compare in Ben's place with other leading leading music servers; such as Antipodes Music Server, which won many awards oversea as well.

Total DAC series are digital to analogue converters, not servers.
I do not know about the prices of Weiss and Aurender but I don't think the Sound Galleries Music Server is much more expensive than these two.
Anyway, Volent advertises in the top part of this forum. You may telephone Ben Lau and go there for an audition. He is a nice guy and he will have no hard feeling at all if you do not buy after one or two listening sessions. And he does not mind if you bring over your own gear for comparison there.

小弟之前都係由Aurender X100L轉用Weiss MAN301 DAC-B，現在是Totaldac d1-server+d1-six用家。我個人確得現在的系統播放digital files是最具模擬感覺的！就操控介面上來講，Aurender同Weiss的確正斗！不過我現時d1-server上咗roon，操控又變得便捷又好聲呢！

Thanks for all brother advice.. My friend has a weiss man301, i think i can get it in my system to audit its performance. Moreover, i had audit n10 in past, it was so analog sound and smooth ... N10 also integrated with Tidal , weiss man301 only can work with tidal by airplay ( it is my concern) but man301 has the ability of expansion in function such as the addition of DAC.
About Totaldac d1 server , it is roon ready, i have try roon server on macbook air. the operation is so great...

Anyway.. thank you so much all brother your valuable advice...

You may go with your friend: he takes his Man 301 and you take your own server to Ben's place and compare them with the Sound Galleries Music Server.
You would be able to find out which one has the sound your prefer.

Weiss will later integrated DMM SACD/CD processing (a working partnership with Stockfish records and mastering facility Pauler Acoustics) as a DMM vinyl simulation, and other possible changes like roon and MQA support. MAN is a platform that can easily converted

Aurender on the other hand will speak for itself on sound quality, Tidal integration, graphics enriched GUI and FPGA DSD conversion. You can easily find my contact so I don't like selling products by internet. I'll be in Hong Kong until Sept12 for opening our new showroom Hong Kong, then October opening our new showroom in Taipei.

Next few months would be very interesting for us. Since you have a great DAC, it would not be very difficult to find a good music server. Anytime the d/a converter would be most important element impact on sound quality.

If you are using the dCS U Clock as the master clock of the whole digital audio system, your music server would be required to accept (lock) to the U Clock from dCS. This will put you more towards MAN301 with its BNC WLK input. Aurender has integrated perfect dCS timing connection with its W20 model but that is another story.

Aurender聲底音響性甚強 但過份乾淨 缺乏臨場感和樂器的實體感

最後搬了Weiss MAN301 Server回家
