名列入門等級 “經典系列” 的102 CD 播放機，除搭載了直驅機構，也跟上位機種 061 CD 播放機搭載同樣複雜的高階 Hi-End 級數字/模擬轉換器。因此在聲音表現上，102與 061 擁有相當類似的特質。另外，該 D/A 轉換器不只是在傳遞 CD 訊號時派上用場，還能透過數字端子 (數碼同軸和光纖) 外部連接多種數碼輸入，對所有外接的裝置例如機頂盒或藍光播放機，將送入 102 的數字兩聲道音訊，進行相對更為高階的數字/模擬轉換，用家可選擇把輸入的聲音訊號，升取樣到 24bit/96kHz 或是更高的 24bit/192kHz。
採用直接驅動方式的 102 CD Player，理論上能將其全頻寬表現得更為全面，高中低頻的音色連續性極高，而且整體失真同訊噪降低了許多，音色質地紋理的傳真度更高，能讓你聽到大型演奏的宏偉雄壯感和更多人聲情感的細致度。
