I am only ripping wav files from my CD collection, 120 Gb is more than enough.

The 16 Gb SSD on the EeePC is just too small. It's time for an upgrade la. My old setup since 2009 as below:

Hardware:
EeePC > WW USB cable> USB to Coaxial Converter > Gotham Coaxial cable > DacMagic > RCA > Int Amp
