I have only used MATCH pair of 12ax7 in my PLL so far. I wonder whether it is okay to use two different types of 12ax7 in PLL. Will it cause damage or strange unmatch sound in the Left and the Right channels?  Please explain. Thanks

Just got a matched pair of Brimar 1950's long plate round-getter 12ax7 tubes to go with GEC 2900 3-mica (= 12AT7) tube in my PLL.  The sonic performance is so good even before full burn-in. No regret! Thanks to Jan Hau c-hing's suggestion

I am trying to get Mullard long plate square getter ECC83 to try and compare.

想請教 JanHau hing:
My Brimar long-plate 12ax7 tubes sound very good but a bit noisy (microphonic): 有些雜聲 when no music is being played. Do you have the same problem? What can be done? Will adding rubber ring dampers on the tubes reduce noise? Thanks in advance.

same to me. I just bought a Marantz power amp at higher than the market price (due to the condition, so I willing to pay a bit more) want to to sell it lower than the market price (想放快啲) 施永清嘅買賣樓策略， but still can't complete the selling. 仲俾兩個 buyer 放我飛機！

I have just borrowed from a friend a pair of 1950's Mullard mc1 long-plate square-getter 12ax7 to work with my GEC A2900 in the PLL.  The sonic performance with Audio Note Vz silver interconnect is just awesome (wonder how much better with even better interconnect such as AN Sogon or Kondo LPz). Much much better than my pair of Brimar long-plate in terms of soundstage and full body. It is like upgrading the whole system. For those who have not tried 1950's Mullard 12ax7 in PLL, recommend to give it a go!
