There is really no logic to it. I think it is a consensus that adding audio switches is going to clean up the signal significantly, thus producing better sound. There are many audio switches released in the last few years, and many have different designs and emphasis. Why is 2 better than 1 or 3 better than 2? No one can really answer that question. Engineers would claim that you simply loop the signal 2x or more within the same switch should give the same effect. But in reality that is NOT the case, and no one really knows what the reasons are.
At the end of the day, you will have to test different switches/combinations within your own system. A lot of times even using different lan cables will make a difference. With whatever budget you have, your goal is to maximize the sound quality by choosing your equipment and to produce the most pleasing sound to your ears. Enjoy music! |
