Received some requests from c-hings, so I went back for the second day


I was very lucky to meet with two of the top designers at the show!
Thanks c-hings for having me back to the show haha

TAD was closed for media interview when I got there yesterday
but I was able to get in this morning


The sound of the "bookshelf" Compact Reference One is simply amazing!
"Best of Show" in my humble opinion (mostly due to the surprising factor)
Probably the most expensive set-up of this show as well given all TAD  Reference products









And I was very lucky to speak with Andrew Jones, Chief Designer of TAD, for half an hour.



He explained the concept of the reference line and his philosophy of audio design. Very helpful! It's too bad that he won't be coming to the HK HiFi Show. He did mention that the TAD HK operation will be ready very soon.

I also met with Leif Olofsson, Founder & Chief Designer of Marten
He shared with me the design history of the Coltrane 2


It was meant to merely improve upon the original Coltrane
but it has taken a life on its own and it's now a completely new design

I didn't dare to ask the selling price of the speakers


but their sound is truly amazing, unbelievable jazz performance

they did have the Solitaire there, but they were on display only


But the turntable was very attractive
I shall do more research on this product

I went back to the AP showroom again
The owner said they were customized made 大理石





AP fans should check out the Ramses cable as well
I know a c-hing from another forum bought it in Taiwan





AP bookshelf is also getting "25" treatment
