小弟用Gryphon的Mirage+Colosseum, 問完transparent的價之後, 真係有卻步, 上一級要比多一倍錢.

My friend used Ultra i/c and now upgrades to Reference MM2 i/c for preamp --> power amp. He said the soundstage and bass improve a lot.  However, Transparent cables' treble is not as sharp and clean as those cables made of silver.

I have not used Transparent cables because cannot afford the price. But I should consider borrowing to try try

由ultra升級到Reference MM2, 相差幾班喎. Ref mm2, 賣價超過100k.

Transparent ic  同model , 點解rca 2000 蚊，xlr 就4000

You may consider the previous MM1 model, starting from Super. Look for the 2nd hand as they are not that expensive, no matter RCA or XLR.

XLR多一個盒仔, 所以付出接近多一倍錢, 好唔值.

聽講所用線材是相同的, 每個型號只是個網絡盒不同, 就是這個盒仔, 相差一兩倍價錢.

It's quite a big difference. However, the newer model doesn't mean it sounds better. It all depends on your system. I used both XL and MM1 version before but XL sounds better on my system. MM2 is too expensive and doesn't come up often on the 2nd hand market. XL or MM1 is good to start with.
