Basic but with reasonable quality LAN Cable will not affect the Audio Data content (i.e. Digital Signals - 1,0,1,0,0,1 ....) due to TCP protocol.
Most of the common LAN Cables available nowadays, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT7, .... , can able to allow correct Audio Data passing through.
However, due to the common use of DLNA (UPnP) for Audio Digital Streaming (Time-sensitive Application), the use of UDP Protocol for Audio Data transmission is adopted. This UDP data handling transmission process may end up with occasional dropping packets leading to potential sound quality variations.
However, the Noise (i.e. EMI & RF) generated along the LAN network will be introduced and added to the Audio Data which will be transferred into the DAC / DS Player. This Noise will contaminate the Audio Quality (i.e. sound).
Good quality LAN Cable can help to eliminate part of the EMI & RF.
Therefore, those LAN Cable with S/FTP is recommended if it is used for audio purposes.
S = Screened
FTP = Foiled Twisted Pair

I used cheap cheap LAN Cable Sanwa S/FTP CAT7 in my DS Musical Network and STP Cat6 for other Computer Network.
Other S/FTP LAN Cables (very cheap and very expensive) with different construction or conductors materials will enhance the sound quality as well. You need to try and compare to select those to meet your personal taste and budget for matching with your own system.
